The official name of the International Council of Plant Tissue Culture was changed to International Association for Plant Tissue Culture (IAPTC) in 1970, to International Association for Plant Tissue Culture and Biotechnology (IAPTC&B) in 1998, and to the current International Association for Plant Biotechnology (IAPB) in 2006. In order to avoid confusion, only the current official name is used in listing the congresses.
